LET ME INTRODUCE MY SELF!
Kurikoma is a Japanese shipment wich transports fresh tunas just harvested from the mediterranean sea. On Kurikoma shipment a staff of very quickly mariners cut the big tunas in filets and put in a refrigerator room at – 60°. I was there on November 2009, for a story about how they fish the tuna for the japanese markets, and Reuters photographer Tony Gentile shot this photo about me, while I was transfered form Kurikoma to a tender boat to reach the coast. I am the one in the minddle of the net. I work as a freelance photoournalist in news and documentary photography and even sports if someone need it. I also am editor at OTNPhotos an italian press photo agency since june 2009. I was born in Catanzaro, Southern Italy, in 1973 October 13, and started to take pictures with my father’s old camera playing with my brother. I have worked with 3 local newspapers in Catanzaro, then in 2000 I started to study photography in Milan and from 2001 I started my freelance carreer by working with AP, Reuters, and other Italian and foreigner agencies. I have worked in South Africa, Burundi, Argentina, Romania, Italy, Netherlands, France. I work in photojournalism since 1996.
